Edgars Hospital Plan

Edgars Hospital Plan pays you out every day that you are hospitalized. This is not a medical aid. Depending on the amount of beneficiaries you have and the amount you want to pay per month, this will influence the amount of hospital cover you will receive and your Insurance cover is dependent on how you conduct your account payments. The benefit will be paid out once you have been discharged from hospital and a maximum of 180 days spent in hospital will be paid out on this policy. You will also receive 1 year’s premiums back after every 5 years whether you have claimed or not.

Edgars Hospital Plan waiting periods:

• A three month waiting period applies on hospitalisation due to natural causes
• A twelve month waiting period applies on hospitalisation due to giving birth.
• A maximum of 180 days spent in hospital will be paid out on this policy.
• A twenty-four month waiting period applies on hospitalisation due to pre-existing medical conditions before the policy started.
