How many times have you gotten into a new car, a friend’s car, a family member’s car or even a rental car and didn’t know on which side the petrol tank is? And then the next time you go to fill up your car, you can’t remember on which side your car’s petrol tank is. Lets explore the petrol tank hack…
So how do you fix this problem without trying to remember or asking your passages to stick their heads out the window so you’ll stop at the right pump.
Next time you get into your car, take a look at your car’s dashboard. Now look for the fuel gauge, and really look at it. There is an indicator/arrow that shows you on what side of your car the petrol tank is. When you pay close attention, there is an arrow on it that will point to the left or right. That points to the side of the petrol tank on your vehicle. So if it points left, it’s on the left side and if it points right, it’s safe to assume that the petrol tank will be on the right.
In some cases, the car you drive doesn’t have an arrow. So now what? Look at the position of the petrol tank picture on the fuel gauge. When the pump shows on the left, the petrol tank is on the left and if it’s on the right, it’s safe to assume that the petrol tank will be on the right.
Simple we know and yet so few people actually know this. Now that you know, go ahead and share this with everyone who you know who doesn’t know this (apparent) secret. Do you have a few stories to tell about your own petrol tank struggles, share them with us or just comment on stories others have shared. Either way, we’d love to hear from you.
