Momentum Health medical scheme is one of South Africa’s biggest open medical aid schemes. Momentum healthcare options allow members to shape their healthcare cover according to what suits their budget and needs best. Ingwe Option:
This option provides hospital benefits for any Ingwe Network hospital or state hospital for day to day benefits as well as chronic benefits. Ingwe Active Primary Care Network Providers may be used or as an alternative, Ingwe Primary Care service providers. The Ingwe Option provides cover for a range of benefits, such as preventative screening tests, a maternity programme, certain check-ups and more. Dentistry, radiology and pathology are covered in this option but are subjected to specific tariff codes.
Access Option:
The Access option offers hospitalisation benefits as well as chronic and day to day benefits. Members must use pre-approved Access Network hospitals and Access Primary Care Network facilities. The Health Platform provides cover for a range of benefits such as preventative screening tests, a maternity programme, certain check-ups and more.
Custom, Incentive and Extender Option Providers:
Momentum Health Custom Option has no overall annual limit for hospitalisation, so you can choose to have access to any hospital. You can choose to have access to any doctor or pharmacy – for chronic treatment or choose to use a specific list of doctors and Medipost for chronic medicine – for an even lower monthly medical aid contribution. The Health Platform benefit provides cover for a range of day-to-day benefits such as preventative screening tests, a leading maternity program, certain check-ups and more.
Summit Option:
The most comprehensive cover plan, full benefits apply. Members have freedom of choice regarding service providers. There is no overall annual limit for hospitalisation in any hospital, and the option provides extensive day-to-day and chronic benefits – from any provider. It also provides cover for a range of day-to-day benefits such as preventative screening tests, a leading maternity programme, certain check-ups and more.
