Medshield Medical Aid Schemes

Premium Plus:

This scheme is ideal for corporate individuals or families seeking a high-level healthcare option. The Premium Plus option covers ultimate in-hospital care at any hospital on the Medshield network. The tariff for in hospital care is 100%, and the scheme allows for specific in-hospital procedures to be paid at the Medshield private tariff rate of 200%. The personal savings account on this option may be used for day to day expenses.

MediBonus:

This is a comprehensive and unlimited in-hospital cover at any hospital on the Medshield network. For specific in hospital procedures, Medshield covers at 200% of the tariff. The MediBonus option provides benefits like dental benefits, optical benefits, radiology, pathology, specialist and GP visits.

MediPhila:

The MediPhila option provides unlimited hospital cover for PMB conditions, generous per beneficiary limits for non-PMB in-hospital treatments and with specified benefit limits for out-of-hospital services. This option provides benefits like maternity benefits, chronicle medicine benefits and managed care programs for HIV/AIDS, chronic and oncology.

MediPlus:

MediaPlus is best suited for higher level income earners. Benefits include unlimited in-hospital cover at any hospital on the Medshield network. Additional benefits include comprehensive out of hospital cover for Radiology, Pathology, specialist and GP visits including ocular and basic dentistry.

MediValue:

This option is perfect for the young and healthy, offering ultimate in-hospital cover at any hospital on the Medshield network. The Medivalue option also provides out of hospital healthcare.

Core Plus:

This is a product designed for young individuals with basic healthcare needs. It provides ultimate in-hospital cover at any hospital on the network. Specific in-hospital procedures are covered at Medshield Private Tariff of 200%. There are no day to day benefits available on this option.

Standard:

Medshield’s Standard option provides ultimate in-hospital cover through their trusted network while enabling you to manage your out-of-hospital medical requirements through a personal savings account. Added benefits include an out-of-hospital maternity package which is payable from risk, oncology benefits, chronic medicine benefits and an ambulance service.
