Medihelp is one of South Africa’s largest open medical aid schemes. Medihelp provides members with innovative products and services. Their claims payout is one of the best in the country, and they have been awarded an AA- rating from Global Credit Rating for outstanding financial performance. Because their solvency rate is above the mandatory 25%, they have one of the country’s highest “accumulated funds per beneficiary”.
Necesse:
The Necesse benefit option offers members access to a range of private network facilities and with no overall limit. It is the benefit option of choice for the lower income market.
Dimension Prime 1:
This option is a hospital plan with added benefits. Members are offered a choice between network option benefits and non-network benefits. The network option has the more affordable benefits with lower contribution rates. The benefits between the network option and the non-network option are basically the same. What makes the network option more affordable is members may only use Medihelp’s network of service providers. For this option, the state is the designated service provider for all PMB chronic medicine.
Dimension Prime 2:
The Dimension Prime 2 option offers basic medical aid cover along with a medical savings account for out of hospital expenses. Members have the choice between network option benefits and non-network option benefits. For this option, the state is the designated service provider for all PMB chronic medicine.
Dimension Prime 3:
Medihelp Dimension Prime 3 option provides full medical aid cover including additional benefits for dentistry and optometrists. Members have the choice between network option benefits and non-network option benefits.
Dimension Elite:
Dimension Elite option has seven benefit options specifically designed to suit a variety of needs. Benefits and services are provided by Medihelp’s network service providers.
