KeyHealth is an open medical aid scheme with a lineage dating back as far as the early 20th Century. The scheme maintains the values they were founded on and today continues to provide scores of South Africans with a series of comprehensive yet diverse healthcare options. KeyHealth prides themselves in all of their accomplishments, the most recent being that they are one of five schemes specifically selected to provide healthcare within the South African Government.
Essence Option:
The Essence option is an affordable entry level healthcare option. It provides unlimited hospital cover at 100% of KeyHealth Tariff and limited day to day benefits. This includes hospital related costs, Injuries suffered as result of an accident, Specialist services in-hospital, Oncology and MRI and CT scans, Day-to-day medical expenses cover (outside of the hospital), Dentistry, Chronic medication for CDL conditions, Supplementary services cover, PMBs and free additional benefits.
Equilibrium Option:
The Equilibrium option provides unlimited in-hospital cover at 100% KeyHealth tariff and Specialist visits in-hospital are covered at 150% of KeyHealth tariff. The medical savings account for this option may be used to cover day to day expenses. Furthermore, you get disaster or major medical expenses cover which covers all costs related to treatment at any private hospital (e.g. ward & theatre fees, radiology, pathology etc.) which will be paid in full. This option also covers injuries suffered as a result of an accident, Specialist services in-hospital, Oncology and MRI and CT scans, Day-to-day medical expenses cover (outside of the hospital), Dentistry, Chronic medication for CDL conditions, Supplementary services cover, PMBs and free additional benefits.
Silver Option:
The Silver option is ideal for individuals requiring midlevel healthcare as it provides ample cover for day to day expenses including unlimited in-hospital cover at 100% of the tariff. This includes hospital related costs, Injuries suffered as a result of an accident, Specialist services in-hospital, Oncology and MRI and CT scans, Day-to-day medical expenses cover (outside of the hospital), Dentistry, Chronic medication for CDL conditions, Supplementary services cover, PMBs and free additional benefits.
Gold Option:
The Gold options are one of the scheme’s best healthcare options providing unlimited in-hospital cover, ample cover for day to day expenses and a medical saving account to enable members to manage their healthcare option better. This option is ideal for the whole family or private individuals. This includes hospital related costs, Injuries suffered as a result of an accident, Specialist services in-hospital, Oncology and MRI and CT scans, Day-to-day medical expenses cover (outside of the hospital), Dentistry, Chronic medication for CDL conditions, Supplementary services cover, PMBs and free additional benefits.
Platinum Option:
The Platinum option is their most comprehensive healthcare option providing full maternity benefits, Oncology benefits, Radiology benefits as well as benefits for in-hospital major medical procedures and day to day expenses.
